“I called Ross Galt on a Friday morning after a small commercial building had been broken into overnight. The lock was damaged and the building needed to be secure for the weekend. They said that they would squeeze the job in at the end of the day, but when I arrived at 1.30pm, Jason had already been, and had left to key the lock the same as the other doors. When he returned he cleaned up the door and damaged frame, replaced the lock, and gave me some advice on improving its security. “Found Ross Galt over uncle google, called to enquire, Sallie was friendly, approachable and clear. She asked questions in a way that cudtomers could understand and responded in layman language. The workshop technician called back as promised within 20 minutes and able to check stock availability right away. Price is verh affordable and fair. The technician who assisted me was to the point and able to check if they could make duplication A.S.A.P. It only took around 40 minutes from enquiries to get a proximity key done. Great thing is they have Afterpay and Laybuy. Highly recommended, I drove 20 minutes and well worth it. This is the provider you would need to come to if you used key hole less, a.k.a. proximity key. Otherwise, you will need to pay up to twice or three times more without the original proximity key. I was quoted in between $600 to $1,100. based on different scenarios at a so called local one in Papanui. Better to have a back up key to prevent having to be taken advantaged when you are mostly vulnerable. *Update, decided to upload the receipt of my purchase. Thank you, Orestas Rimkus.”

“I ended up at Ross Galt after a trip to both bunnings and a mall based 'locksmith' looking for a replacement for a key from the late fifties. Bunnings had a key for $29 but then they said it wouldn't work in my lock - locksmith at the mall - same deal. The staff at Ross Galt took one look at the key and said yes we have that, $10 each how many would you like. The key he showed me was the same as at bunnings and at the mall. The difference, Ross Galt know their keys and was able to explain that the perceived difference between the keys was only cosmetic. Highly recommend these guys. Low cost and know their stuff!”

“My daughter had her door slam shut in the wind and self locked the truck with her 5mth old baby inside while in rolleston. Needless to say she was very distressed. “I would say Best in the Town. I almost went to all locksmiths for my car door lock to be fixed but didnt find satisfaction anywhere. Surprised by that those who having 5 star rating on Internet just raised their hands as they said it's very complicated to do work on Honda and if they do that they will charge abt 250 bucks.
