How we began
Ross Galt Lock & Key Service Ltd was set up in 1972 by the late Ross Galt. He successfully operated the business up until his death in March 1998. Ross had very much a hands on and personal involvement in the day to day operation of the business.
We have grown steadily, over the years, from a one-man business into a two branch network of Locksmiths and Electronic Security advisers with 30 staff members.
In 2011 we started up an Electronic Division, which offers complete alarm, CCTV and access control services. To reflect this we changed our name to Ross Galt Lock & Alarm Ltd.
Ross Galt wins award for Heroism
We were delighted to receive a special “Earthquake Heroes” award for our great work after the Canterbury Earthquakes. This was presented to us by Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker.

We had an enjoyable few days at the South Island Agricultural Field Days in Kirwee, despite the mud! Thanks to everyone who stopped by, it was nice to meet you all.
